It’s not uncommon for celebrities to be used as the face of, or spokesperson for, different brands. This may be nothing new, but I have a list of the top ten celebrities that are simply known for being fashionable or trendy. Here’s the kicker. Not only did I list the top ten celebrities, but I also included bloggers as well! Bloggers, especially fashion bloggers, are the “it” crowd right now! They can be found sitting alongside celebrities and fashion insiders at the exclusive fashion shows around the world. Every girl wants to be them, and I have the top twenty women who are handling their business like a boss!
These ladies are in no specific order but I had to stay true to my favorite girl, and make Rihanna number one! I know that she’s been caught in a lot of scandals and people are always calling her out for not being “classy” on social media. However, I believe Rihanna dances to the beat of her own drum, quite literally. Not only is she a spokesperson for MAC but she also became the first black woman to be the face of Dior. The fact that she has created her own unique brand by being herself is a great example for women to understand and know that it’s okay to be different, and that you should live the life that makes you happy.
Tiara Monet
Before I even knew her name, I only knew her as Teased Black Pearlz. She was my go-to YouTuber, and I learned how to do my hair from watching her YouTube channel. Tiara Monet has grown her YouTube fan base from five hundred subscribers to millions, and become the face of multiple brands. At only twenty-five, she has created an empire that’s becoming bigger and better every day! Not only has she turned her passion into cash by opening her own salon, but she also has her own virgin hair line, Crowned By Monet. With so many projects and businesses running under her empire, I guess it’s a good thing she lives in New York, the city that never sleeps. Who has time to rest when there is money to be made? Well, Tiara is doing just that!
Kendall Jenner
Of the Kardashian/Jenner clan, Kendall is the only sister who is rarely in the tabloids. Her personal business is hardly on the blogs because this young lady is truly focused on her business: her brand. The reason why Kendall made the list is because she sacrificed her family to become a respected model. No, I don’t mean any type of creepy, religious sacrifice, but she did separate herself from the Kardashian name. She even banned her family, specifically Kim K, from attending her fashion shows. I can understand how difficult that can be for a nineteen-year-old to ask her family to not support her publicly. When you’re part of a huge, close-knit family, it’s hard to get used to not seeing them in the front row. Kendall, you go girl! You are a true boss for saying no to plastic surgery, sex tapes, rappers, and basketball players, and just remaining focused on your true passion: modeling.
BEYONCÉ
Do I really have to explain why Beyoncé is on this list? She’s been a boss since she was eleven. Beyoncé is the queen, okay? She can sing and dance like no one else in the industry. A lot of people try to combat the issue that Beyoncé is a style icon, and I used to be one of those people. I used to think she had a bland style to be such a huge star, but she has certainly stepped up her game! As a woman, I cannot go into a salon without hearing, “I want my hair colored like Beyoncé’s” or “Can you give me the Beyoncé bob? With the black roots and blond hair?” Everything she wears is instantly sported by everyone at the Beyhive, which is more than half the human population. She is the face of countless brands, so I would say Beyoncé is not only killing the game but has buried it. The game is gone because Beyoncé reigns.
MILEY CYRUS
Oh, Miley. I know you probably don’t think she has any style that makes her worth being on this list, but hear me out. Miley is stylish because she still sets trends. Even when she’s swinging on a wrecking ball wearing only her Doc Martens. Do you know that after that music video, Doc Marten sales skyrocketed? Like all the women on this list, she is her own brand and people are influenced by her. Whether that’s a good thing or not, you be the judge. However, don’t throw your stone just yet. My number one reason why I love Ms. Miley is the HAPPY HIPPIE FOUNDATION. It’s Miley’s organization to help homeless LGBT youth. She is also a huge advocate against social injustice concerning the gay community, so I commend her for that. Whether you agree with her lifestyle or not, she’s still doing big things to make a positive impact on the world, and that’s always in style. Rock on, Miley.
THE CURVY FASHIONISTA
Marie Denee is the number one reason why I decided to step into the blogosphere! She inspires me every day and she always helps me feel more confident about my curves. stillGLAMORUS
Some may know her as Kasey Palmer, but most of us know her as stillGLAMORUS!! I fell in love with this beautiful soul while spending an entire evening mesmerized by her hair and makeup tutorials. I can always count on YouTube to distract me from actually getting real work done. stillGLAMORUS has her own makeup line, is a busy mom, and even sings! This lady can rock any hairstyle, which she practically has, and her makeup tutorials are inspirations for me to actually try and do something with my eye shadow and eyeliner. Although she bleeds style, she still has a personal side that is easy for all girls to relate to, and she allows us to see the glamour in each of us.
In 2004, I was that girl who would stay home on Friday nights to watch Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County. Not just because I was twelve and wasn’t allowed to go out on Friday nights, unless it was to a football game, but also because Laguna Beach was my favorite show. To this day, you can still catch me staying in all weekend to watch reruns of this amazing reality show. The main reason I was drawn to Laguna Beach was the main character, Lauren Conrad. She influenced me in so many ways. From that show I gained an interest in attending art school, applying for internships, and creating my own business. You just don’t get that type of influence from today’s reality shows, do you? I’ve watched Lauren Conrad go from a beautiful high school senior interning for Teen Vogue, to an author, to having a successful brand. She even has her own fashion line, LC Lauren Conrad. This girl is the epitome of hard work, dreams, and believing in yourself.
CIARA
I was just mentioning to my friend the other day that Ciara is underrated. Seriously, people always wonder why Ciara hasn’t made it big, but I think she has in her own way. Of course, she deserves much more recognition than she receives. She’s a phenomenal dancer, singer, and overall artist. Plus, she has her own style as well and is drop-dead gorgeous! She just landed a modeling contract with the ultra-fabulous Roberto Cavalli, and I really hope she continues with the modeling endorsements. Her body is flawless and she’s such a lovely spirit. Yes, this girl is doing amazing things, and at the end of the day she’s still a wonderful mom. Now that’s a true boss.
MICHELLE PHAN
You know when your parents tell you you spend way too much time on your computer, and that you should focus on schoolwork or search for a job so you can make money? Well, I’m almost certain that Michelle Phan’s parents are very happy that she spent a lot of time on her computer, specifically YouTube. Honestly, YouTube is the new Hollywood. On average, more people spend time on YouTube streaming videos than watching cable. That’s just the digital world we live in, and Michelle has used this platform to gain millions. Yes, I mean millions. She is now a multimillionaire from her hair and beauty videos on YouTube. She has a very successful makeup line called Em-Cosmetics and, once again, is the face of multiple makeup and fashion brands. Even with all her success, her blog is still going strong. If you’re in need of makeup tips, you can find that and tons more beauty advice at www.michellphan.com.
JEANNIE MAI
Jeannie Mai is my friend in my head. She knows all about fashionable styles and trends, and she’s worked with countless celebrities as their stylist. She’s even an icon on the Style Network, so she definitely has the experience to claim the fashionable boss award. I’m even more in love with Mrs. Mai now that she’s one of the hosts on The Real, a new talk show centered around sharing advice with her co-hosts Tamar Braxton, Tamera Mowry-Housley, Loni Love, and Adrienne Bailon. Jeannie’s energy is contagious, she remains positive, and her outfits are always the best!
I am a HUGE fan of Zooey Deschanel as an actress, an overall person, but ESPECIALLY as a fashion designer. She’s so stinking cute and quirky, but sexy in her own way. I know, usually when people end a compliment with “in your own way,” the compliment isn’t flattering but I think Zoeey is hot! Her fashion line, which was introduced in 2014, completes her attractiveness to a T! With the help of Tommy Hilfiger, Zooey was able to create To Tommy, From Zooey, and we all have a chance to look as good as she does on a daily basis! She is a beautiful woman and she dresses with class. She defines the saying, “Let a man see what he can get, but make him imagine what he can have.”
SEJOYA THOMAS
If you didn’t already know by now, curves are in and everybody wants to have them or touch them! Sometimes it’s like your curves give you an extra boost to rev up your ambition and work hard for your goals. Sejoya Thomas is not only a blogger doing just that, but also a model and an entrepreneur. She’s created a collection called Curvy Hustler to help celebrate the curvy girls who are consistently working hard and achieving their dreams! She also heads a blog called Curves on the Carpet, which serves the latest entertainment news from Atlanta to New York. She is a fabulous boss, to say the least!
LANESHIA LAMB
Owner of Pretty Geeky Bowtique, Laneshia Lamb is doing big things by “Celebrating People, Promoting Individuality, and Customizing Style.” This boss is not only stylish but creates styles for other people from her visions. With success being her middle name, how could you expect anything less than complete awesomeness from her blog as well?
