It was a long, frosty winter in New York City, so this warm weather is more than welcome! With the bright sun and fresh air, I made a few warm-weather goals that I absolutely want to stick to. Hopefully this inspires you to keep up with your goals as well.
- No more sleeping in on the weekends! I feel like I start the day late when I wake up at eleven or eleven thirty a.m. One of my goals is to be up and moving by nine on weekends so I can make the most of my day, whether that’s reading, catching up on work, cleaning, running errands, or spending time with my dog. Those two extra hours will make a world of difference!
- Switch up my dog-walking route. Although my dog never seems to get tired of the same old walk around the neighborhood, I know she would love a new adventure. One of my goals is to take advantage of the many dog-friendly parks NYC has to offer. Central Park is close by, so I have no excuses!
- Learn to cook some new meals. This goal has been on my list for years, but it’s about time to take it seriously. Trader Joe’s has a great variety of food products that makes grocery shopping fun now. Plus, home-cooked meals will save me some money that I would otherwise spend eating out. This month I plan to try out meatloaf and chicken noodle soup.
- Knock some things off my bucket list. I’ve lived in NYC for almost five years and there are so many things I’m so ashamed that I haven’t done yet. I definitely need to cross the following activities off my bucket list: go to a Yankees game, see a Broadway play, and visit The Cloisters in Washington Heights.
