One of the newest trends among the top marketing companies is “Inbound Marketing.” What is Inbound Marketing, you may ask? It is a marketing technique in which you attract customers through blogs, podcasts, video, eBooks, newsletter, social media, and other forms of content marketing.
One of our favorite pioneers of the Inbound Marketing movement is the Boston tech-based company Hubspot. They break Inbound Marketing into an easy-to-obtain, four-step methodology.
The first step involves attracting strangers to visit your website. You can do this through blogging, using specific keywords, or with videos.
Once you have the visitors on your website, convert them into customers. You can do this by keeping them engaged through free resources and relevant social media content. Here is where you want to show the value of what your business offers.
Now that you have your audience’s attention, you want to turn them into a customer. You can do this by using email campaigns, hosting contests and giveaways, or through paid social media marketing.
It doesn’t stop there!
Once you have a new customer, you need to continue to delight or impress them. You can do this by engaging with them personally on social media, giving them an inside look into your brand, or asking them what interests them through a survey or question.
