4 Ways to Report Blogger News in Advance

Kylie Jenner is pregnant by Travis Scott.

Gabrielle Union isn’t coming back for another Being Mary Jane season.

Comedian Jess Hilarious and Azealia Banks have beef on Instagram.

Eminem just killed his BET Hip Hop Awards cypher against Donald Trump.

President Trump just went on yet another Twitter rampage.

Whatever the trending news is that you report on your blog you want to report it before it is too late. This is the reason why you have to schedule your blogs in advance. I get it—you’re thinking, “How I can do this if the news has not happened yet?”

Once the story begins to have legs, do your research and draft a story. Save it on your Notes app or in email drafts where you can edit it throughout the day. While you want to be the first one on the scene, this won’t happen every time. The best part about blogging is everyone reports the story differently, and since your blog is your personal opinion it will be distinctive from all the others.

Take advantage of your DVR and mobile streaming. Record the shows you want to blog about so you can view them the same day but at a later time. Mobile streaming allows you to watch on the go. Again, begin your draft ahead of time, get your photographs, captions, and titles in advance and plug in your content later.

Use your sources. If you find yourself unable to write or report on the story, then share a story from a trusted media outlet. Don’t forget to give them credit.

Be part of the conversation. Twitter and Facebook are a great way to engage and share your thoughts on the story without having to write a full blog post. CoSchedule and Buffer are great ways to manage your social media accounts and schedule posts to Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
