Hello April

Hey Creative Loves.

I know it has been forever since I wrote you directly on a personal note. So much has happened these past few months. I cannot believe this weekend is Easter. I hope you all have amazing plans and are enjoying the beautiful, but still cold weather we are having. For my lovelies that are in the South, send warm wishes up this way. I cannot wait to share the fantastic new happenings we have for Virgo Girl Media for the coming months.

New Website: For those of you who know me, I have had the worst luck with designers. My friends tell me I am indecisive and not communicating properly with the designer. I’m like “Hey, I have an idea. This is how it should look, make it happen.” Quote from my BFF, “Designers are not mind readers; you have to tell them precisely how you want it and they will build it. They will not stray from your ideas just because it doesn’t work or look right.” They’re more like puppets, if you ask me. Anyway, the full website of Virgo Girl Media is finally ready to launch this month. I am beyond excited. You will get to read more about us, find out our wonderful services, get plenty of inspiration and motivation, and check out the lifestyle blog.

Here is a sneak peek of our new design and colors. Feedback is welcome of course! It’s a behind-the-scenes look so don’t be too judgmental.

We’re going on tour: Virgo Girl Media is producing our first event tour, called The Feed Your Soul Blog Tour. My pookie-bear and VGM creative director and I are traveling cross-country in a RV this summer. We are kicking off the tour in the nation’s capital with a Bloggers Brunch, location TBD. Creative loves, when I tell ya I need this tour more than anything, I mean I need this tour. We are planning to have a total EAT, PRAY, LOVE experience.

Our mission is to conquer our fears, shed doubts, and experience life. So often we get caught up in the responsibilities of life that we forget to live and experience it. Outside of personal goals, we also are planning to meet with our favorite bloggers and creativepreneurs for great conversation to feed our soul, learn how they balance it all, and get inspired.

I’m leaving you with . . .

Journal Write – I have begun doing this again and it’s amazing how I feel after writing. Be sure to incorporate this within your busy schedule. Even if you do it once a week, you will feel so much better. Talk about your fears, goals, negativity, and how you plan to overcome this.

Take a Walk/Exercise – I’ve had a stressful New Year already! Taking a walk or boxing has really helped me with bringing down my anxiety and stress level.

Ask for Help – Counting your coins is cool, but bringing in a professional is a must at some point. You cannot do it all alone! Invest in your business. You can only do it all by yourself for so long before things get missed. Investing in a business coach to give you advice and put you on the right track is a great way to take your business to the next level. Paying someone to manage your social media pages can introduce you to a new audience and free up your time to focus more on getting and maintaining your current clients. A PR team can introduce your company to the world and give you the recognition it deserves. Allow your business to come first; hire the designer your business deserves; the consultant who will ignore your excuses and push you. Surround yourself with a team that wants your business to succeed!
