As we somehow yet again find ourselves moving swiftly through another year, not only should you start focusing on your 2022 goals but also how to empower yourself and be the best version of you.
Below are my 10 ways to empower yourself that you can start working on now!
- Change Your Mindset
Adopting a positive mindset can completely change your outcomes in life. If you welcome positivity in energy, people, and how you treat and do things, that is what you will receive. If you are constantly negative and exuding bad vibes, that is what you will attract. Having a positive attitude toward negative and challenging situations will allow you to remain calm, stay productive, and embrace the lessons that you will learn throughout your life’s journey. Maintain daily positivity and use affirmations to adapt your mindset to discovering and accepting your true self-worth, and that you are deserving of the life you are working hard to create.
2. Build a Circle of Boss Babes (On Your Level)
Surround yourself with others who not only respect you but hold you accountable and call you out on your sh*t. They are not yes people. Find people who support you in your dreams and goals but also help you accomplish them. Time and time again I hear clients tell me that they were hoping for more support from their family and friends and in return was let down. This is because you set high expectations for people who are not necessarily your target market. Friend/family support is great, but they are only supporting you because they know you. While this is nice, long term you need customers that you are building relationships with, who will speak about your product/service, and be recurring customers because they actually need the product or service you provide; these are people who are not just supporting you because they know you.
3. Know Your Worth & Stand Up for Yourself
Who run the world? Girls! Who run the world? Girls! All my Beyonce fans stand up. No, but seriously, women are taking over the business world. There has never been a better time to empower yourself as a woman. Women are leading at creating businesses the fastest. The time has come for you to stand up for your worth. Go after that raise you deserve, the promotion; charge the rates you are worth and not what you think society should pay you.
4. Set Boundaries/Say No
Protect your peace of mind by protecting your space. Learn when to say no to people and situations that are not the best for your mental health. Simply walk away! Empower yourself by saying no.
5. Get Organized
People laugh at how overly anal I am with my to-do lists and Post-its. I even make an inventory list when I go grocery shopping to meal prep the kids’ meals for the upcoming week. I cannot stress this enough, to save time and your brain cells from stressing over small decisions, plan ahead. Create to-do lists, checklists, and small goals for the week.

6. Find Your Passion. Do What You Love.
Life is too short to spend countless days doing something you don’t enjoy. I understand those bills be calling on the first of the month and sometimes passion doesn’t pay them bills. Learn how to turn that passion into profit, therefore you can leave behind the time constraints of a 9-5 and spend more time traveling, spending time with your loved ones, and creating generational wealth.
7. Girls Night Out
Every Queen can use a fun night out with her girlfriends to catch up on life over good food, music, and wine. Take one day or, hell, even a weekend to play harder than you have been working. The next morning you will feel relaxed and ready to tackle the week. Empower yourself by taking a break—you deserve it.

8. Manifest Your Dreams
Sit with yourself one day and picture what your dream life would look like. Your ideal career, how often you would want to travel, your ideal bank account, and gross yearly salary. Think about what you see for yourself in the future. Write it down and create small actionable goals on how to make this dream a reality.
9. Remove Self-Doubt
The road to entrepreneurship is not a road that is highly traveled. Most people with a dream often have a fear of launching. Let go of this fear. Mistakes are needed to give us life lessons to create a better version of who and what we are.

10. You Are Your Biggest Critic.
Let go of negative people. Let go of the illusion of perfection that you see all over social media. Let it go that you have to look a certain way, talk a certain way, have a glam wardrobe, the perfect family photos—let it all go. I struggle with being my biggest and worst critic and not wanting to start or release anything until I feel it is perfect. Learn from my mistakes that you are enough and love yourself by accepting this and never forgetting it. You can accomplish whatever you put your mind to. And you are worthy of your biggest dreams come true.
