Welcome to a Curvy Mom Blog. We are uber excited to have you within our community to share your story.
Today, we spotlight Ivy Caldwell of Footprint Enterprises whose mission is to bring healing to the hurting through hope.
1. Tell us what inspired you to start Footprint Enterprise and create a faith-based organization?
My business is inspired by my book “Expose It”…Let Your Healing Process Begin. In order to be healed, we have to start talking about those experiences in our lives that have held us captive with silence.
2. What is your faith?
Christian
3. How has your faith helped you to empower/inspire the people you encounter?
I use my faith in my coaching program to build up, equip and empower.
4. At what point in your journey did you realize you wanted to help others?
While writing my book I knew it would be used as a tool to help others.
5. When did you get inspired to start writing and what challenges did you face while creating?
I had no intention of putting my story in a book. I had written some children’s stories back in 2013 and when the pandemic started shutting things down I was working from home so I decided to pick my notebook back up. While in prayer one morning the Holy Spirit said, “You can’t skip over this”. I asked, “Skip over what Lord?”. The Holy Spirit replied, “Your story”. I had to sit there and think about what my story was. The Holy Spirit said, “Your story will authenticate the children’s book series.” So I said, “Okay, Lord, I will write my story”.
6. What work did you do (or do) before starting Footprint and becoming an author?
I have worked in the commercial insurance industry for years and I also ran a very successful licensed childcare in my home.
7. How has the pandemic affected your organization?
I have not been able to get out and meet potential clients in person. Everything is being done virtually now.
8. Can you share a memorable story or accomplishment since starting Footprint Enterprises and pursuing your passion?
Since starting my organization I have helped women to be set free and start their emotional healing journey. I am just blown away to see their transformations come forth.
9. How do you or have dealt with any disappointments or challenges that come your way?
I have learned from my mistakes and I keep moving forward.
10. What would you consider your biggest strength in business and a weakness that you need to work on?
My biggest strengths are my organizational skills and creativity. My weakness right now is getting my name out to the masses.
11. How many books have you currently written and do you plan on writing more?
I have written one book “Expose It”. I am a part of two collaborations and they are: “Speak Up…We Deserve to Be Heard” and “Walking In My Purpose”.
12. What do you currently like most about not only working for your organization, but being the founder?
I am passionate about my organization and being the founder of it because I want women to know that they don’t have to stay in the place of pain. If they open up their moves and expose their truth they will get their voice and authority back.
13. What type of leader would you say you are and how do you lead other women to pursue their passion?
I am a compassionate leader who will hold your hand to get you to the other side of it. Whatever it is!
14. In a few words, can you tell us how you would advise someone who needed help but didn’t know where to start?
I would tell them to get a notebook and start writing about their feelings. Once they do that it is time to seek out professional help or find yourself a coach. Don’t let fear or pride keep you from asking for help.
15. Who helps you when you are faced with challenges or tribulations?
I have my inner circle just as Jesus did.
16. What are some of your business goals for 2022?
I will be launching my coaching program at the top of January 2022 called “Stepping Into ANEW You” and there will be more book collaborations. I must get started on my children’s book series.
