Meagan Good, Grace Byers, Jerrie Johnson, and Shoniqua Shandai lead the Prime Video series
Harlem, season 1 first appeared back in December 2021 and was an instant Amazon Prime hit. I, like usual, was completely late to the party, but after binge watching in one day, fell in love with the four women created by Tracy Oliver (Girls Trip).
Harlem follows four thirty-somethings – Camille (Meagan Good), Quinn (Grace Byers), Angie (Shoniqua Shandai), and Tye (Jerrie Johnson) – as they attempt to figure out life after thirty in love, career, relationships and parental expectations.
The charming characters of Harlem are back with a sophomore show and picking up where the story left off from season one.
My BFF and I have vowed to do a watch party every Saturday to tune in and LIVE chat about what’s happening with the colorful pack. Harlem is a great way to unwind after a busy week and enjoy some self-care or bonding time with your friends.

Here my five reasons to watch Harlem Season 2:
Reason #1: Characters are Hilarious & Doing the Damn thing
All four women do an amazing job at delivering a stellar performance with fun, flirty, relatable experiences. If you loved Sex & the City, Harlem is the black version.
Reason #2: Harlem meets Fashion
The ambitious women are styled by Costume Designer Deirdra Govan who decided this go round she would retain the authenticity of the neighborhood and spotlight small brands. The women are styled in beautiful vibrant colors that speak to success, but paired with an edge of signification meets sexy.
Reason #3: Celebration of Black Women
In honor of Black History Month, February 3 was the perfect release date for Harlem. Along, with celebrating the amazing main cast of color, Harlem welcomes returning guests stars Whoopie Goldberg, Jasmine Guy¸ and new additionsSherrie Shepard and Countess Vaughn to name a few.
Reason #4: The Men are Finnnneeee
Ladies, I know its V-day month – but boo’d up or not, these men are quite something to look at. They come in all flavors too. Check it out and thank me later.

Reason #5: Four Women who are Finding Their Way After 30
Overall, the foursome tribe residing in Harlem is simply trying to figure out life after thirty. No matter if you have money, broke, transitioning careers or discovering same sex relationships, there is something each of us can relate too. They show us through strength, empowerment, and friendship (support), you can accomplish what you want and navigate any life transition.
