How to Start the New Year Single & Be Fabulously Okay

Entering the New Year Single can make you feel anxious or nervous or even pressured to find the right person to cuddle with this winter. But don’t get it twisted, you would rather be single and fabulous, than in a relationship and miserable.

I find being single at the start of year is a great time for self-discovery. You can spend so much time setting yourself up for success for a great year. What do I want to accomplish this year? How much weight do I want to lose? Where do I want to travel? How much money do I want to save? What should I get myself for a birthday splurge?  Being New Year single allows you to be completely selfish and focus on what YOU want out of your life for the next year.

You can also use this time as an opportunity to catch up with family and friends that you haven’t hung out with in a while. Being single, I always enjoyed joining different groups or clubs that I otherwise wouldn’t have time for while working and being in a relationship.

Outside of having family, friends and groups to help you here are some tips on how to start the New Year Single & Be Fabulously Okay:

How to Start the New Year Single & Be Fabulously Okay

  1. Accept your Status. Hello, I’m Single and its perfectly okay! Remind yourself of this. Listen Boss lovelies, despite what social media and society are saying, there is nothing wrong with being single and living your best life. Don’t allow the hype of these cute couples on Instagram to put you in a situation that isn’t great for you and only great for a photo opp.
  2. Create a healthy mindset. The New Year is about writing a fresh new chapter that hasn’t been created yet. So, kick-off the year with goals and things you want to accomplish that will make you feel even better about yourself towards the end of the year.
  3. Focus on Positive Vibes Only. Yes, you are entering the New Year single, and you may get the looks, the questions or even the occasionally I have the perfect person for you. Don’t worry about it and let it change your mood. Focus on things that bring your positivity and joy. When the right person comes for you, you will be ready because you will already be happy and confident within yourself.
  4. Dress for Confidence. Now whether you are looking to update your status in the New Year or not, dressing to impress is always an amazing way to boost your confidence and catch a date. Trust me, you never know who is around the corner.

Wishing you much love, happiness & abundance in 2024!

  1. I’m single and happy because I need time to focus on myself for a while lol. I need to rebuild my confidence after being with a loser for ten years.

  2. Never thought I would be entering into the new year single, but here I am. I’m so down when I see all the couples and family spending the holidays together and planning for the new year. I’m trying to stay positive but this sucks.
