One thing you’ve read me say over and over is that self-care is not a luxury, it is a necessity.
Checking in on yourself and pouring back into yourself are essential to your well-being and happiness. This means doing what you have to do to feel good—and doing it often!
This is why you’ve seen a slowdown in blog posts lately. I’ve been taking the time to be with myself, and my family, and travel for my self-care. I’ve been very blessed to visit beautiful destinations for weekend trips like Las Vegas, Jamaica, Maryland, Atlantic City, and New York (my home state but it’s vast and there’s a lot to see!) within just three months, and I don’t plan on slowing down with that!
Here’s why: I’ve learned that even when I’m in self-care mode, my serial entrepreneur mindset is still awake. That’s what happens when you make a career of turning your passion into profit!
And I’m not complaining because it is truly a blessing to be able to love what you do. I love traveling and it led me to create a new travel business to visit and review destinations; and that connected the puzzle of being able to balance motherhood, bring in residual income, build generational wealth for my kids, and, of course, do what I love every day.
If you’re like me and you want to turn your passion into profit, I’m here to encourage you to get the bag, mama! This goes double for my influencers who are already traveling and posting those lovely vacay photos on Instagram—you might as well get paid for it!
“But how do I get started?” you might be asking. Just like this…
1. Build your dream travel business
Just because you’re traveling for work doesn’t mean you have to always be somewhere! You can start your business right from your laptop.
You’ll need to create your business name, niche (who you serve), apply for your free FEIN (Federal Employer Identification Number), pick your business model (like an LLC), and if you want to build your business as your own accreditation or partner with a host travel agency (I recommend the latter for start-up ease!).
2. Design the perks and benefits for your clients
Once you know the type of niche you want to build your business around, think about how it will best serve your dream clients. They’ll see you traveling and having the time of your life on your trips—what packages can you create to provide them with similar and stunning experiences?
From here, it’s important to join communities (like travel business Facebook groups) to help you network and find your first clients!
3. Earn residual income to staycation all over again!
Whether you work with a host travel agency or book affiliate deals, the best part of your new business is being able to enjoy staycations for low costs or for free. That means you’ll earn your money back on trips or simply get paid to have a fun weekend!
“I don’t want a travel business. I just want to travel.” I hear you, mama! And I still got you covered.
Consider me for all your upcoming travel needs. It’s 100% free. I do all the work and handle the stress of planning a gorgeous staycation for you and your family so you don’t have to!

I am aiming to be a travel blogger but I haven’t been consistent as of yet, thanks for sharing these tips and your insight so far.
I am running into the problem of working with hotel brands. It seems that everyone is pitching to them and they don’t want to work with the little guy anymore; or maybe its just me. Thanks for sharing these tips but can you talk about how to get your foot in the door from ground zero.
