Christina Dunn, of Stay at Home Mom with No Job
Stay at Home with no Job; Staying real and staying funny to stay sane through it all. Hilarious title, how did you come up with this and decide you wanted to be a mompreneur?
Stay at Home Mom With No Job was a title I came up with after spending some time as a new stay at home mom. Many other moms I met who were also stay at home moms, gave me the impression that it wasn’t enough. That to be fulfilled as a woman, and as a mom, they needed something more. At that point, I was a true stay at home mom with no job, and I was determined for that to be enough for me. My tagline just sums up what you’ll find if you spend some time on my site!
Were you stay-at-home mom turned Blogger or Blogger turned stay-at-home mom?
Stay at home mom turned Blogger. I felt I had so many thoughts that I needed to put into words and stories.
Who does your blog speak too?
Other stay at home moms, but also anyone who appreciates or sees the humor in raising tiny humans.
You were pregnant during the pandemic and delivered in September what was that experience like?…P.S. Virgo baby!
The third time around there are few surprises. Although during pregnancy it would have been nice for the other two kids to stay busier, lightening the load for me, we made the best of it all. I really felt for moms who were experiencing pregnancy for the first time during the Pandemic. That would have been unsettling.
Yes! He’s my first September baby and I’m looking forward to watching his personality develop and change. Here’s to hoping he’ll be a bit more chill than the other two!
How do you balance being a mom of three, a mompreneur, all while being home during Covid?
Manage expectations and prioritize. I am fully aware and accept that not everything that I want to get accomplished every day will. Some days the blog will be on the back burner, some days the house, but never be the kids. Making sure they and I are happy and healthy always comes first.
How has life changed for you since becoming a mom of three?
I have superhuman strength in my right arm from lugging around this 90lb baby carrier!
Really though, it hasn’t much. The adjustment from 2-3 has been easy on me and I am grateful for this.
Your website and Instagram pages seem highly visual. Do you use your own personal photographer?
Yes, his name is husband! I don’t use anyone professionally. We try our best to take fun pictures using lighting and angles to our advantage.
How many hours per week, do you spend on social media and writing blogs?
The amount of time I spend on social and writing fluctuates greatly. Some days I am able to spend three hours. Some days, 30 minutes.

I chose which brands I work with based on what fits my brand. My niche is mom life and style, with a splash of travel/Disney. Therefore, I am not so much interested in promoting essential oils.
What was your overall experience for visiting Disney during a pandemic?
I recently wrote an article on that, here. We are Disney lovers, so we definitely made the best of it.
I’m thinking of possibly moving to Charlotte. Living in New York can not only be costly but hard to create the family dynamic. How is Charlotte for raising a family and what is a must-do or visit?
Charlotte is a great place to raise kids. It’s a family friendly city with lots of clean parks and a great Brewery scene. If you’ve got kids, Discovery Place science is a must do for sure!
What would you say is the downside, if any, to being a stay-at-home mom?
It can be isolating. Particularly when the kids are very little. Finding other stay at home mom friends can help with that. But like everything else, it is only a phase.
Which social media platform works best for you and why?
I have had a lot of success with Instagram. It is a highly visual platform which is a contrast from my blog. Engagement there is always high, and I’ve found for the most part, it’s a very supportive community.

Thank you! I write all of them myself. They are all based on real thoughts and real experiences I’ve had!
Who are your bloggers inspirations?
The Mom at Law is great. Her writing is intelligent and funny. She is a successful working professional, writer, and mom. I am inspired by her ability to do it all so gracefully.
