You’re a busy mompreneur of three yourself, (you look amazing btw) and they are all girls – any plans to try for a boy {chuckles}?

Thank you so much! I actually have 4 girls and no plans to try for a boy. Truth is, we are completely satisfied and grateful for our 4 blessings!

I’m a mompreneur of three as well and don’t always have time to cook often. What tips do you have for moms who are looking to make a lifestyle change but don’t have time?

Plan and prepare! Write out your meals you plan to eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Prep your meals for the week by either pre-cooking or pre- cleaning, seasoning and chopping food and veggies. Because I have 4 girls with varying tastes, I will cook up proteins and grains and store in a large storage container to store in the fridge to just warm and add with a choice frozen veggie. This makes life so much more simple and eliminates the stress of thinking of what to eat everyday!

What inspired you to create Holly Fitt for busy moms/women?

I’ve always had a passion for exercise at an early age but became even more passionate after losing my mom my senior year of high school to heart disease. After becoming a mother myself and experiencing postpartum depression along with back pain I developed a more focused passion that turned into purpose! I wanted to be a present and healthy mother that would do whatever was in my power to maintain a healthy body to prevent heart disease from interrupting the time I have here with my family.  Learning what it takes to create a healthy lifestyle, I experienced the challenges, and created processes that worked for me and my family that have lifelong sustainable results! This led me to create Hollyfitt for busy moms! To offer the gift of a  healthy lifestyle to other moms to experience the confidence, energy, and empowerment that comes along with a healthy mindset, healthy body, and end the extreme dieting that produces little results that doesn’t last.

Has business spiked for you since COV19 considering everyone is talking about the COV-15 they put on?

Business has spiked since COV19 and the most common response is “ I’ve put on weight and I’m the heaviest I’ve been” .  Women signing up for a Hollyfitt program are ready for a change. I’m not selling a magic cream or drink that promotes weight loss. I am selling shifting and lifestyle transformations. Women are showing up with determination because you are ready for a lasting change and no longer willing to spend money here and there on weight loss pills and ploys.

How big is having a healthy mental health for you?

Mental health is very important. Having Postpartum depression and feeling detached and from engagement with family was a very painful experience to remember. The way healthy eating and exercise changed my mental health, reversing postpartum symptoms is priceless!

How do you balance motherhood and being a mompreneur/business owner?

I balance motherhood and being a business owner by asking for help from my husband or mother-in law and  being intentional to take in the moments when my children need or want my attention when my face is behind my computer (lol) . It’s simply, close my laptop and continue after they are in bed most days.

Fridge and Pantry audit the first time I have seen this, what does it entail?

The fridge and pantry audit entails an inventory of the foods, sauces, drinks etc. and will allow me to provide education on the items that will sabotage your healthy lifestyle goals and to recommend suggestions to replace with a healthier option.

What are some go-to snacks you recommend for moms on the go?

Mixed nuts or nut of choice with chopped dates or cocoa chocolate chips, sweet potato muffins, homemade smoothies, hummus and veggies.

So, I’m currently breastfeeding and for some reason I’m always hungry and I hear this from other moms as well, what do you suggest to feed the hunger?

Small meals throughout the day that will give you the most nutrition for your time and body! Lean protein, veggies, and a complex carb that has a good amount of fiber.

Your recipe book, Healthy Eating Habits, are these quick meals anyone can do or do you need some cooking skills?

The meals in the Healthy Eating Habits recipe book are quick (about 30 minutes to make) and easy for beginner cooks and satisfying for the most experienced cook!

Will your girls help you with Holly Fitt in the future?

This is a great question!  My prayer and vision for Hollyfitt is that Hollyfitt will be an enterprise that not only provides my girls with the seed of healthy living but also entrepreneurship. However, If they choose a different path, they are free to do so.

How do you deal with mom’s guilt, if any?

Mom guilt happens and I allow those feelings to lead me to  self reflect and assess what it is I’m feeling guilty about and answer honestly. If I can do better, I will pray and make an intentional effort to do so. If I feel stuck, I will pray for a solution and leave it at the altar, regularly.

How do you empower women and other mompreneurs that rock?

I empower women to tap into their super power of determination! Nothing can stop a woman who is told they can’t do something. Why should that be any different when YOU convince yourself you can’t do something? Keep that same energy! LOL

For me, I tend to go by how I feel and how my clothes fit {chuckles}; Should women look at the scale, what are your thoughts?

I share the same teaching! Throw the whole scale away! LOL! The scale is not the most accurate account for muscle mass vs. fat. Let’s  not forget the account for the weight of  water and organs.

What are your 2020/2021 goals for Holly Fit?

My goals for Hollyfitt is to continue to innovate with more products and services to best serve busy moms that will literally change their lives!
