Preparing for Fall

The stores are stocked with back-to-school supplies, department stores have replaced summer gear with fall/winter clothing, and the heat is at an ultimate high. Fall is around the corner and another summer will soon become a distant memory. Vacation fun time is over and prepping for the holiday season is upon us. Before we say good-bye to yet another summer, take the time to enjoy meeting new people at networking events, grabbing coffee with clients (and potentials), sitting in cafés, working in the park, and doing the things you won’t be able to when the weather turns brutally cold.

Here are some things we‘re doing to get ready for the fall:

Stocking Up

We‘re making sure our inventory is stocked and our services sheet is up-to-date and ready to roll out.

Getting Creative
The fall season can go either way for your business; sales can go up or down. We’re brainstorming and coming up with unique and creative ways to market to our target group. Now is a good time to begin working on your holiday digital campaign.

Out with the Old, In with the New
Some services and products will be retired while we make way for new and exciting ideas. Never be afraid to take a risk and try something new. In the digital world we now live in, you can connect with your customers in an instant; ask them what they think about your new ideas you want to launch.

Partnering Up
Don’t be shy. Ask for help! Help grow your brand by partnering with others who have a bigger following and name recognition. This fall we plan to do several giveaways and contests. We are partnering with our favorite small-business owners and boutiques offering promotions in exchange for advertisements.

It’s Time to Get Cloned
We are small-business owners . . . We can’t do it all. Around this time we need all hands on deck and even then it’s still not enough. You need, well, another you! At this point, it is time to increase your staff and hire someone who can take over the daunting tasks and projects that consume the majority of your time and not in a good way. Hire someone you can train to be you without being you.

Organization Is Fun
We plan to clean up! Clear out your e-mail. Get rid of paper, use a scanner instead. Use Google Drive and/or Dropbox instead of saving on a server. Tidy up your social media pages and website, and handle any outstanding to-dos or requests.
