TP Toys and Accessories, a local black-owned toy store in New Rochelle, offers a personal touch for holiday shoppers.
I had the privilege of visiting TP Toys on shop small business Saturday, where my kids and I were greeted with warm smiles and surrounded by toys and yet more toys down each aisle. I will be the first to admit, when it comes to shopping, especially holiday shopping, you will find me at the nearest large retailers: Target, Toys “R” Us, or Walmart. Despite the headache of long lines, items being sold out, and parking lot madness, I keep on going back. Not this year!
I’m so happy a friend of mine recommended TP Toys, because this is where I will be doing some of my holiday toy shopping. TP Toys is a unique toy store that the community has fully embraced. Unlike your traditional toy store retailer, TP Toys offers a special shopping experience.
For starters, everything in TP Toys is geared toward education, and building and using your imagination. You won’t find video games, computers, or any electronic devices that are slowly rotting our kids’ brains and making them completely socially awkward (but that’s another post). Instead, TP Toys offers award-winning bestseller toys for children of all ages.
TP Toys is owned by a mother of two whose mission is to provide toys and games that have strong educational and play value. Exploration through play is at the heart of the toys sold at the store.
Visit TP Toys this holiday season and shop small. TP Toys and Accessories is open seven days a week.
