A random thought . . .
To all my ladies, and even gents who want to chime in on this.
I was scrolling through my Instagram feed and there it was . . . another guy with a big following talking about women and their relationships and what’s preventing them from being in a relationship. Or what “we” as women should not accept from a male.
Now, taking a step back and looking at myself, I know I’m not the easiest person to deal with and could use some good male advice from time to time. But I’m curious as to why all these “relationship gurus” who have become InstaFamous and have all this great advice are still single?!
For those who have been following us since day one, no, I am not about the gossip or drama so I won’t be dropping any names. Besides, all you have to do is put in #relationshipadvice and I’m sure several of them will pop up. But there are a good top five of black men who are still single and give relationship advice on the daily. I’m not knocking their hustle or what they do, but I just have to wonder if anyone else shares my curiosity.
I’m sure if you ask them “why are you still single?” they will say “I’m still looking for Mrs. Right. I haven’t found her yet,” or “I’m focusing on my career,” etc. Again, I totally get that. After all, there is no recipe for love as it has to happen naturally. But these men are fine as f—, you know their DMs are poppin’, they meet nothing but women at speaking engagements and everywhere else they go to market their “relationship guru” brand, but at the end of the night, they remain single. And have been for years!
So, I’m tossing the question out there: Why are these men still single?
Are they pretending to be single with a boo at home? Are they single by choice and really not looking for anyone? And finally, would you date a relationship guru?
