The right time to treat yourself to a Bahamas wellness getaway is now! Here’s what to expect…
When the thought of bright beaches, clear waters, cocktails, and sunny skies starts filling your mind, you’re likely due for an island vacation.
I’m an advocate for self-care and taking the time to pour back into yourself when you feel the urge—and what better way than a trip to the Bahamas for your island getaway?
I took an island vacation for a much-needed wellness retreat and I recommend you do the same, mama!

The Caribbean Island is perfect for a wellness retreat to kick back, relax, and pamper yourself with different activities to dive into each day. Ready to self-care? Here’s how you can treat yourself at the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar Resort in the Bahamas.
Easy travel time
If you’re in the United States, the Bahamas is right outside of it in the Atlantic ocean and travel time on your flight is usually less than 6 hours. Plus, the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar Resort is very close to the airport to reduce the hustle and bustle getting to your destination. You don’t have to worry about spending an entire day on a plane or in a taxi waiting to start your Bahamas wellness retreat in style!
Beautiful, beachfront access and room layouts
Speaking of style, the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar Resort in Nassau is colorful with positive vibes and its 7 swimming pools, 4 hot tubs, lush ESPA, and lovely view of Nassau’s Cable Beach that’s perfect to hit the waves or simply lounge on the white, sandy sands. The rooms are also amazing. I stayed in Fountain View where the room was spacious with a beautiful stand-up shower, soaking tub, and full length mirror.
Spa, spa, spa
What’s a wellness retreat with a spa day (or days because one isn’t enough)? The Grand Hyatt Baha Mar Resort’s ESPA Baha Mar had everything a working mom needs to unwind! The spa offers a wide variety of massages, facials, manicures, and even meditation and dance therapy to release that stress and let in the happy.
Delicious food at every stop
The Bahamas isn’t just known for its warm beaches but also its tasty selection of food from island staples like Bahamian crawfish and boiled fish to classics like premium steak and international faves like vegetable stir fry. You can find these delicacies at the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar Resort, too, as it offers 45 restaurants to choose whatever you’ve got a hankering for that day. It can get expensive, I won’t lie, but the food was too yummy not to indulge a bit!
Rich culture and never-ending activities
The Bahamas is a stunning island full of captivating culture from the friendly locals. When you explore the cities during the turn of the new year, you may find yourself at Junkanoo, the Bahamas’ lively new years festival. There’s plenty of nightlife to dance the night away, but if you want to discover more of the wildlife, you can scuba dive with the dolphins at Little Bahama Bank or island hop to over 700 islands.
When you’re staying at the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar, you’ll also find luxurious shopping outlets and adult day parties. If you do bring your little ones, not to fear! There are also plenty of kid activities like the kids club and other children-friendly entertainment your whole family can enjoy.
Make time for yourself, Boss Lovelies!
Giving back to yourself and booking a vacation shouldn’t be a luxury but a necessity. Remember: Your wellness is just as vital as food and air.
There are more reasons to visit the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar Resort and spoil yourself than not, so make the space for your self-care, mama! Have you been to the Bahamas already? Tell us below what your favorite way was to relax on your island getaway!
