#Y.A.M (Is that hashtag taken yet?) Ieasha Tiffany is a 23-year-old NYC-based wardrobe stylist with a penchant for reaching. Reaching goals that is. In October she’ll be moving to Gulu, Uganda, to work with TRIBE, a social business that empowers Ugandan women through mentorship, professional development, and selling their handmade jewelry. “The opportunity came to me so unexpectedly, but at what seems like the perfect time. I’ve been seeking a way to blend my background in social work with some dope fashion so when I stumbled across the job description I knew it was for me and reached out to the founder!” Tiffany explains.

Being a young creative entrepreneur comes with some level of fear. Tiffany shared with us her advice on taking a leap of faith in pursuing your dreams:

“Let fear be the catalyst of your growth! A lot of what we do (or don’t do) stems from fear. We work hard because we fear being financially unstable or losing our jobs. We stick to what we know because we fear being inadequate in another field. But let fear be your catalyst! It’s not always the enemy! Do something new because you fear stagnation. Follow your dreams because you fear what your life will look like if you don’t. Try everything so you can firmly state what you love, dislike, are great at, want to improve in, and need to stay away from. Any and all situations regardless of outcome produce knowledge. Trust that and start taking some steps toward becoming bigger!”

Aside from her upcoming overseas trip, she’s also part of Ryan Leslie’s marketing team, working on a project with MTV, and further developing the You Can’t Sit With Us fashion mentoring campaign! Look out for her wardrobe styling work in the October issue of Texture Magazine and the September issue of Livid Magazine.
